- Development in Liberia;
- Asylum seekers and the immigration debate;
- Humanitarian concerns in the Congo;
- The plight of Nepal's children;
- Security and drought in Somalia;
- The problems facing millions of refugees;
- Reconstruction after the South Asian earthquake;
- Children, the law, and justice;
- The battle over water; and
- The peace process in the Ivory Coast.
Try to find the time to read (and learn more about) these stories. Iraq, Iran, terrorism, and Bush's approval ratings are legitimate and important stories, don't get me wrong, but there's so much else going on in the world, so many problems affacting so many people that require our attention, too.
