Nobel Peace Prize

The Noble Peace Prize has been awarded to Muhammad Yunus, a Bangladeshi economist, and the Grameen Bank he founded. The bank pioneered the use of micro-credit, small loans to the very poor that enable them to become self-sufficient and even start small businesses, thereby lifting themselves out of poverty.
