Canada Day 2009

Another year, another Canada Day. Time does fly, doesn't it? And it seems to be speeding up now that I have kids.

Still, it's great to celebrate his wonderful country. To all my Canadian friends and family, have a safe and happy day. And to everyone else, to all of you from around the world, take a bit of time today to think of us.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is right. With the Dems now at 60, cloture should be supported unanimously with respect to healthcare reform (and, for me, with most legislation across the board). The American people have spoken, elections have consequences, and the Republican abuse of the filibuster must end.
