By Michael J.W. Stickings
Alright, I'll admit it, I have a thing for Michelle Branch. I'm a big fan of her music and I find her... well, let's just say I find her rather attractive and leave it at that.
Here she is, at the Roxy in Hollywood, performing Jackson Browne's version (from the album World in Motion) of Little Steven's "I am a Patriot" (from the album Voice of America).
Given that Michelle is from Arizona -- and that the forces of freedom, which is what this song is all about ("I only know one party / and its name is freedom"), are up against a certain senator from that state -- it's an appropriate song for this election season.
(I would just add that there is one party worth knowing, and worth supporting, and it is Obama's party.)
And the river opens for the righteous, someday...
